Explanation:The deckbox (VR100) sends an acoustic signal to the receiver’s hydrophone, confirming identity and range. During release, the deckbox updates status in real time — showing “Activating release…” followed by “State: Open.” As the top section rises, it maintains acoustic communication through the transponding hydrophone even at the surface. This ensures the user can recover the unit in low-visibility conditions.
